A housecall, or house call, is an act of customer service where the service provider goes to the consumer's home, rather than the consumer visiting the supplier's place of business.
House calls are most often associated with doctor house calls, common in the United States until the late 1960s. In present-day California, dental housecalls are becoming prevalent throughout the San Francisco Bay Area as well as in the Greater San Diego area.
